Elizabeth Nields:

Elizabeth Nields lives and works in Gilbertsville, New York. Much of her sculpture is spread out over her land from “Passageway” which is fourteen feet high to “Torsos” which line a path over the foundation of an abandoned Chicken Barn. There are many pieces that reflect an Ancient Elephant Temple which would have been found in ruins in 3000 BC She is also a potter. Her work is in private collections and in the Patrick Lannon Foundation Museum in Florida. She is the recent winner of the Fenner Award at Catskill Community Council of the Arts., and has shown at the Smithy for many years.

She leads workshops for adults and children at her studio. She has taught at Adelphi College, Hofstra University, Montclair State College, Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta.
