Fran Harris:

I began painting about 6 years ago after raising my four children. I have no formal training in art, but have loved painting and drawing since a very early age.When I moved to Cooperstown several years ago, I had the good fortune to live down the street from Robert Schneider, from whom I took classes in landscape oils. I have also studied with Elizabeth Apgar Smith and have more recently taken classes in pastels from Albert Handell. Much of my work depicts scenes from the beautiful Otsego Lake area.
